Louise Arthur Penn grew up in New Orleans, a drama student dreaming of going to Broadway. She performed in vaudeville shows throughout the USA, finally arriving in New York City after two years on the road. Her first job in NY was at the Roxy Theater and she was now on her way to fulfilling her dream. Performing in George White's "Scandals" put her in touch with Russell Markert, who was the choreographer for the show, and "Marky" invited Louise to audition as a summer replacement Rockette. She never gave up her love for drama on the stage and, although Louise will always treasure her time at the Music Hall, she needed to get back to the theater. She has travelled much, loves CA and has recently retired from a successful career in real estate. Louise has one daughter, still takes an exercise dance class every Saturday morning, belongs to a book club, is a docent at a museum and volunteers at a thrift shop for a children's hospital.
